Maintenance
Check out our tips to prevent many common issues and extend the life of your Zanussi Refrigerator.
Regular Cleaning
Switch off and unplug the appliance before cleaning. Clean the interior with warm water and bicarbonate of soda (5ml to 0.5 litre of water). Avoid using detergents or abrasive powders, which can damage surfaces and leave a strong smell.
External Maintenance
Wash the outer cabinet with warm soapy water. Dust the condenser and compressor at the back of the appliance once or twice a year with a brush or vacuum cleaner.
Defrosting
Regularly defrost the freezer compartment to prevent excessive frost build-up. Follow the defrosting instructions provided in the manual.
Temperature Regulation
Set the thermostat to an intermediate position (3-4) for optimal performance. During very hot weather, lower the thermostat to prevent continuous operation, which could hinder automatic defrosting.
Correct Installation
Ensure the appliance is not installed near heat sources like boilers or radiators. Allow adequate ventilation by placing it in a cool, well-ventilated room, keeping air openings unobstructed.
